I’ve recently had some time to reflect on my job.
Some friends who are also clients asked me to help out with their admin during a busy period for their company. January is a quiet month for me, so I worked with them for the past two weeks, managing my translation work around their office hours.
While in some ways the work was challenging as I had to learn everything (what to do, where to find things, the how and the why of everything), it was also pretty boring as there was no room for creativity and very little writing of any sort.
This served to remind me just how much I enjoy the creative side of translating. My mind is definitely wired for words and languages.
I was lucky to get to step outside my « normal » for a bit but now I’m ready for your copywriting projects and translations!
